What CrawlVault is and the problem it solves.
CrawlVault is a free, open-source Chrome extension that keeps your Google Search Console crawl stats beyond Google's 90-day limit.
Why it exists #
The Crawl stats report (Settings → Crawl stats) is the best view of how Googlebot treats your site, but it only covers about the last 90 days and has no API. CrawlVault backs it up regularly and merges each backup into one history.
What it saves #
- Daily crawl requests, total download size and average response time
- Breakdowns by response, file type, purpose and Googlebot type
- Hosts and their request counts
Requirements #
- Google Chrome 116 or newer (or another Chromium browser with Manifest V3 and the side panel)
- A Google account with Full or Owner access to a Search Console property
