How It Works
Where the data comes from and how backups merge.
Search Console renders the Crawl stats report from data embedded in the page. CrawlVault requests that page with your existing session, the same way your browser does, and reads the report data. It never clicks Export and never downloads CSV files.
Merging backups #
Each backup covers about 90 days. Daily rows are stored by date, so overlapping backups merge into one continuous series. Identical backups are stored only once.
Safety check #
Every backup verifies that the property ID inside Google's data matches the property you asked for, so data can never be filed under the wrong site.
